This class is for all levels even students who have taken Materials and Techniques and/or Advanced Materials and Techniques.
This is an online/ at your own pace program. There are no meetings with the instructor unless you take the class as a private mentorship. Please contact me if that is something you are interested in. You will have access to class materials for six months.
Painting should be a source of great relaxation however it seems that fear of failure sometimes gets in the way. The aim of this class is to take away the fear of failure by teaching students about their materials and giving them a good solid technical foundation.

Learn about how your materials are made.
Learn when to use certain paints, brushes and surfaces.
Learn a multitude of watercolor techniques- both traditional and experimental.
Learn how to decide which technique to use to get the results you want.
Learn to work with your watercolor paints and appreciate the many marvelous effects you can create.
Every week you will be introduced to a new historical or contemporary watercolorist.
You will explore a new technique or material.
These lessons will be applied in your weekly self-directed painting.
